PaySmart (“PaySmart,” “we,” “us”) helps users track credit cards and loans. We minimize data collection, do not sell personal information, and do not use data for cross-app tracking or targeted advertising.
If you enter accounts manually, information such as account names, balances, limits, due dates, notes, and reminders is stored locally on your device.
If you choose to link accounts, PaySmart uses Plaid to connect to your financial institution. PaySmart does not receive or store your bank login credentials.
To maintain the connection and refresh balances, PaySmart may use a secure backend (Firebase services such as Cloud Functions/Firestore/Hosting) to process and store Plaid connection identifiers and access tokens, and to retrieve the account data you authorize (for example balances and liability details). This data is used only to provide app functionality.
PaySmart does not run analytics and does not track users across apps or websites.
We share data only with service providers needed to operate the app (Plaid and Firebase/Google). We do not sell your data.
Payment reminders are delivered as local notifications on your device. Notification content is not sent to our servers.
Local data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Linked-account connection data is retained only as long as needed to provide the connection and can be removed by unlinking accounts.

Linked accounts
If you connect accounts, you authorize PaySmart to access and display the data you approve via Plaid. PaySmart does not store your bank login credentials.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PaySmart is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
